God: The Great Communicator?

Since God told George Bush to kill Saddam Hussein, and God told Saddam Hussein to kill George Bush, why didn’t we lock the two of them in a room filled with weapons and let them fight to the end, since that’s obviously what God was trying to tell us?

And speaking of what God was trying to tell us, you have to admit, God’s a pretty bad communicator. I mean, here we have this guy who wrote this massive book called the Bible, but it was apparently so badly written that he had to then hire millions of people called preachers and priests who spend every single Sunday, week after week, year after year, trying to tell us what God really meant when he wrote the Bible.

Geez, you would think that if he’s a god he could do at least more than a half-assed job at writing a fucking book. For God sake. Sphere: Related Content

Jesus needs better marketing.

HA! Well for one thing, "God" did not write "the bible", a bunch of people did. They all claimed it was what "God" told them to say. Seems convenient...God told me to tell you to send me money. God told me to tell you to obey me. God told me to tell you that if you do not obey me, there will be hell to pay...etc. Works out great for the guy hearing God, eh?

Hi Jen Ren! Nice to see you here! :-) You got it. And we have to ask who exactly is *receiving* all this money that God is asking us for! (Guy Harrison brought up an interesting point: If God can create an entire universe, why does he have so much trouble running churches and need so much money?)

I love your new blog spot. :)

A christian today told me that god, purposely, made his message (the bible), is difficult to understand for one purpose... so satan could not understand his (gods) divine plan. So not only to confuse satan, but us as well.
Hmm...

Jsyn, that's a comment I've heard before, and I see it as rationalization. So often when Christians are faced with something that they just can't explain, they attribute it often to God, but if that seems wrong, they attribute it to Satan. One Christian over on myspace said the ancient fossils were put in place by Satan to confuse us. Ohhhh poor God, just couldn't stop Satan from doing that nasty old trick...

Jeffrey, I don't know where else to put this, but I just finished reading your book and it was amazing. You're a very good writer and I appreciated all your research. I wish I could get everyone I know to read your book.
